Fans of Günnar 2

Since I am always going to these awesome concerts, and partying with these totally bad ass rockers, people start to recognize me when I show up.  I've had people stop me everywhere, asking to get a picture, wanting to talk about shows we've been to, talking about how amazing my adventures are.

So here are a few pictures of me, hanging out with my fans.

I was at the MEGADETH / TESTAMENT / EXODUS concert in 2010 and this little metalhead asked me to take him under my wing.  I showed him how to navigate the pit, and he lost a shoe in the process!  Great way to start the Metal journey!

Günnar visits the premiere of FIX: The Ministry Movie

Here I am at the location of the premiere of FIX: The Ministry Movie

Before I tell you about the premiere, take a look at the totally BADASS trailer for the movie that I got to see.

The premiere party was a fun event. I saw a handful of peeps that I knew and also met Lacey Connor , Paul Barker, some insane Austrian rockers (who gave me a rock), and Doug Freel, the director. Doug was a really swell guy and very appreciative of the people that came out to support his film.

Serj Tankian (System of a Down) was there also, but he was talking to some d-bags so I never bothered talking to him or anything since he was going to be stopping by the house later on in the week.  Didn't want to monopolize his time.

Günnar rocks out with THE BIG FOUR!

When my friend Dave Mustaine called me up and told me he'd set aside a few tickets for me, I was stoked!  VIP access to THE BIG FOUR!!

I know, I know, wearing an Iron Maiden shirt!  I was locked and loaded and ready to go.  I had everything planned out, and the whole adventure went off without a hitch.

Rode out to the venue on one of those full sized tour buses, and it was awesome.  EVERYONE was rockin' the horns, and they all loved my totally badass vest.

I couldn't wait to get to the venue!

PANTERA!!! Album Review

I wrote this back in 2008, but thought I should share it with the world.  Eventually I will get around to writing up a review of the whole discography.  For now, check out what I've got so far.

The first album is METAL MAGIC, which is a very appropriate title because the Minotaur on the cover is actually a mythological creature bred for its skills in magic.

First of all, WHAT THE HELL? Even back then there were four guys in the group so there really isn't an excuse for this album cover being let through. I mean, come on. Doesn't anyone have the balls to stop the madness? Please don't tell me that they all looked at the picture and said, "Oh yeah, Dudes!!! That is BADASS!!!"

It looks less like an album cover and more like a lame ass mural done for an Elementary School. YAAAAYYYYY Pumas!!!

Anyway, moving on, what the heck is that in the cat's hand, anyway? Is that supposed to be a weapon? If so it is the stupidest weapon I've ever seen. Looks more like a flippin' trowel than a knife. Come on, Pantera, have you ever seen what a sword or axe even looks like?

This is not a weapon. It is a trowel. Hmm. Maybe they are Masons or something.

OZZY STOPS BY

Back in 2000, before the Osbourne family became all big here in the states, Ozzy and the kids stopped by while Sharon was out looking at houses.

They were on their way back from Devore, CA, where they played with Pantera, Godsmack, and a whole bunch of other hardcore bands.  As you can tell, Kelly isn't too happy, but she ended up smiling when I offered to make her some nachos, and poured her a glass of strawberry soda.  She said it was her favorite.

I'll rock out wherever I am!

Even in a pub in Dublin.  This old rocker recognized me from a Ministry concert and bought me a few while we talked about all the awesome concerts we'd been to.

Günnar schools ELVIS

There isn't any reason to explain this.  I'm so awesome, even ELVIS wants to hang with me.
