Here I am at the location of the premiere of FIX: The Ministry Movie
Before I tell you about the premiere, take a look at the totally BADASS trailer for the movie that I got to see.
The premiere party was a fun event. I saw a handful of peeps that I knew and also met Lacey Connor , Paul Barker, some insane Austrian rockers (who gave me a rock), and Doug Freel, the director. Doug was a really swell guy and very appreciative of the people that came out to support his film.
Serj Tankian (System of a Down) was there also, but he was talking to some d-bags so I never bothered talking to him or anything since he was going to be stopping by the house later on in the week. Didn't want to monopolize his time.
Here are Paul Barker and I. Finally got him to sign my vest that night too.
Right next to my Dead Kennedys patch!
Here I am after getting that weird rock. The coolest part? Check it out!
David Bowie has a rock.
And so does Gary Busey.
That means I'm in good company. At least we know they like to party.
I thought I was pretty damn special, and maybe I was . . . . but no more special, apparently, than Lacey Connor and Paul Barker, who I saw later also were lugging rocks around. Mine was bigger, though.
Okay, so I'll sum up the movie for you: "This is Al. He's a rock star. He's out of control. He also loves drugs."
There's a nice mix of behind-the-scenes stuff and life-on-the-road madness as well as some cool concert clips too.
I'll have to watch it again, though, because I was too busy being cool and rockin' out!
Mega Metal!
Can't wait to see FIX!
ReplyDeleteOh my God. You got a rock! That is so awesome. Treasure it man, treasure it. I had one but I lost it and life has just gone to hell since then.
ReplyDeleteRock on dude!
Gunnar, Do you think there'll be another doco after this next tour, you know, the one after the Farewell tour?
ReplyDeleteMost likely, Dude. I predict another album . . . followed, of course, by a remix of that album, followed by a live album of the tour, and perhaps a remix of the live album of the tour . . . . Kill me.
